Tori Bellows is a really good friend. She's always there when a shoulder is needed to cry on, to give dating advice, or for a good ol' time. Now, though, Tori is the one who needs a shoulder to lean on when she's in a tough spot. But all of her friends are too busy with their own lives.

Enter the Twin Estates' resident bad boy, Landon Edenhoff. When he offers her an all expenses paid vacation, she's immediately suspicious - he's rarely nice and his intentions are never good. But she's ready for a change of scenery and knows she can give as good as she gets from Mr. Rude & Nasty himself.

After all, how bad could this neighbor really be?

Caroline's Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've LOVED this series and this novel is a fantastic addition to the Twin Estates collection.

"Maybe I shouldn't hate him. Maybe I should try to get to know him, understand him, because clearly we've got a lot in common."

Tori Bellows is the epitome of a good friend - to the detriment of her soft heart. A drunken moment leads to a rash encounter, which leads to an impetuous decision, and suddenly she's on the other side of the world with the last person she would ever pick to be a getaway buddy.

"Dark thoughts and a beautiful girl, they were a lethal combination. He'd wanted to hurt himself, hurt her, hurt something. Had wanted to feel alive."

Landon Edenhoff is stuck in a rut. Insomniac and drug addict, he's always looking for his next high; for something to make him feel alive. One sexy interlude with an innocent-faced vixen, plus one proposition of an exciting adventure, leads him to making a decision he might come to regret.

"When I think about you and how I feel about you, it's like I can't breathe."

This was such a fab read. It was raw, sexual, angry, painful, scary, and heartbreaking. Tori and Landon are such a fiery couple. Landon is so surly, rude, and hugely controlling. I loved how Tori pushed back and brooked no nonsense from him. I loved the evolution of their relationship - it was exciting to see Landon's view of her changing, each day they were together.

"You're an explosion. Blew my whole world apart."

Tori was such an unexpected revelation to Landon, and I loved how much she affected him. Her goodness, attitude, and spunkiness really impressed him. And, then there's her sexuality! Their chemistry was so hot, it was almost combustible! They were passionate in every aspect of their relationship, whether fighting or making love.

"You saved me, Tor. I didn't even know I was dying, and you brought me back to life."

Landon is a such a haunted guy, and really quite lonely. He'd been on a terrible path of self-destruction for a such a long time, yet Tori and her steadfastness made him look at his life differently, and gave him a more positive purpose.

A fantastic read and thoroughly recommend!

Author Bio

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
