Lilah Turner meets Jesse Gunn on her first day at work. However, she quickly realises that he's off-limits, if neither of them wants to lose their job.
"You and me we're destined to be. There's a reason why we met on your first day."
Three years later, Jesse has been gradually wearing her down with twice-weekly drop-ins to her office, thoughtful little gifts, and plenty of outrageous flirting. When they are thrown together for a work trip, Lilah knows that she's close to giving in to the sparkling attraction between them.
Jesse is gorgeous and fun, and has one dirty mouth! I loved how much he liked to provoke a reaction out of Lilah. Their repartee was amusing. Lilah had worked so hard for her position and was too worried about what other people, especially her father, would think that it held her back from following her heart. However, I loved how committed she was to Jesse once she let him in.
This was a great, sexy, fun read.
