As they grew older, Amelia’s fondness for Dash turns into a crush, and then into something more. He was always there for her, until one day, when things seemed to be moving forward between them, he disappeared out of her life, breaking her heart in the process.
Fast forward five years, Amelia pitches up to her new internship, only to find that her work partner is none other than Dash.

I love a friends-to-lovers romance and this one was really sexy and angsty, full of charged tension. Dash is a troubled soul hiding a major secret that stops him from being with his ‘Ammy Dove’. As I was reading the story, I was so desperate for them to be together, and so anxious to find out the secret that Dash keeps close to his chest. He and Amelia have a fabulous connection borne out of childhood friendship, as well as a deep-seated love for one another. Their desire and chemistry was a tangible thing.
Amelia is carrying so much hurt and confusion from her past encounter with Dash, especially when he seemed to just cut her from his life with no explanation. She can’t resist him, yet she feels really vulnerable. Dash’s longing and desire for Amelia is so real, and he is desperate to have her any way he can, even if it is only a temporary thing.
The pacing of the story was just right and kept me riveted to my Kindle. Fabulous read with a swoony ending. Thoroughly recommend!
